The Walklate Foundation Judith Shiel

The Walklate Educational Foundation was established in 1639 to support young people (under the age of 25) living in the Parish of Mellor in the field of education. Small grants are made annually by the Trustees to:

a) Assist a young person to enter or remain in education in a school, college or university

b) Assist a young person to enter or prepare for a trade, calling or profession

c) Assist a young person still at school to acquire equipment to pursue an interest such as music or art.
